Murray's Journal

 First School: Tasmania, Australia

August 30, 2002-Hi how are you all at home? It's rained a bit which is nice as it's been much too dry this year and we have to watch how much water we use from the tanks at Michael's house.

My friend Michael is a bit sick today so I am writing to you. He introduced me to his friend Pagachope who is a Tasmanian Tiger. Paggy has never been to a theme park like we have in Orlando so I helped them build a joyride plane. It was so fast I got really dizzy. The video of me test flying it is going to be up on Michael's website as it's too big to post you.

Yesterday I learnt about Brumbies and was shocked to find that the Australians don't treat them as well as the Government in the USA which has protected us Mustangs since 1971. They still cull wild horses, many of whom are descended from unwanted World War I mounts and use them for petfood. It is lucky that some horse gentlers from the States have come to help train people here and some Australians have started an adoption agency. Michael hopes to give a wild horse a home some day.

bye for now,

Murray
