Space Encyclopedia/Constellations Winter

Learning about constellations (their mythologies) in detail

Ancient people could tell direction, time and season by the stars in the sky. They linked stars together with lines to make figures of animals and humans. These were the beginnings of onstellations. Constellations were first introduced in Babylonia and Greece where they developed to their present shapes. By approximately 200 B.C., there were Winter constellations that had already been counted. Here, you can get information about 12 constellations known as the zodiac.
